Despite ongoing lower back issues, I persisted with sprinting, completing 5-6 sprints ranging from 80% to 95% effort. Towards the end, my left quad flared up, likely due to the new demands on my hip flexor and the explosive nature of sprints. It's ironic to reflect on my aversion to traditional conditioning and sprinting throughout my sports career. If I could avoid it, I would opt for stationary bike or treadmill workouts. However, nothing compares to the authenticity of running on real terrain. It's remarkable how much emphasis modern sports influencers place on indoor training. Running on uneven ground in the sun and wind feels incredibly natural and rewarding. I genuinely enjoy it, finding that the simpler and more natural the movement, the greater the physical results and mental satisfaction.
