The air smells like diesel. Makes sense since I live near a major trucking corridor. Not sure which freeway, but trucking traffic was up over 3% YoY. No sources, go look it up: Las Vegas trucking traffic.

Does anyone like fresh diesel smell? I can't stand it.

My anger is unleashed on the bag. Feels good to attach some real violence to the punches. My left shoulder is now tender. I did not warm up enough this morning. All I can do is process the immediate feeling of being trapped in an acrid diesel smelling bubble.

Although my earnings may be tied to the surge in traffic and so-called "growth," I am profoundly disturbed by the conflict between clean air and economic expansion.

It's worth noting that the only economic upturn appears to be in favor of the strip clubs, bars, truck stops, and casinos offering $8.99 prime rib specials. I fail to perceive any direct advantages for myself but rather view it as a risk to my well-being, especially considering the exposure to diesel engine emissions and their impact on my health and respiratory system.

The punches that connect only seem to relieve the surface tension.

Because of this emotional response, my improperly warmed up shoulder and body will feel this workout for the rest of the day.

My barking shoulder, a reminder of the diesel and overwhelming need to seek relief.

Thanks for letting me vent, however self indulgent or narrow minded, it feels good to put it into print.

I'm on my way to a networking event this morning. Today is poised to be great, fueled by the intensity of my earlier session with the heavy bag. If at all, I've smoothed the edges.
